RB Willis McGahee is headed to Hawaii for his first career Pro Bowl.
Ravens RB Willis McGahee earned his 1st Pro Bowl after an injury to Chargers RB
LaDainian Tomlinson. McGahee, who was a 2nd alternate, started all 15 games in
which he played - missing only the season finale with broken ribs. He led the
Ravens with a career-high 294 carries for 1,207 yards (4th in the AFC and 8th in
the NFL), with a long of 46, and 7 TDs. McGahee also finished 3rd on the team
with 43 receptions for 231 yards and a TD (all career highs). McGahee also led
the Ravens with 66 1st-down conversions (56 rushing and 10 receiving), including
7 on 3rd down.
"It is an honor and a privilege to be going to the Pro Bowl, especially when
your peers have a say in the matter," said McGahee. "It is a goal that I
have had for a long time, and I am going to enjoy every second of this. To be
going with three other Ravens is also special. They always told me the first Pro
Bowl is always the most special. I can't wait to share this with my
teammates."
